An incomplete copper-alloy strap fitting, probably a strap end, of Medieval date. One incomplete rectangular plate survives, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. The incomplete attachment end has a central semi-circular notch, to one side of which is a circular rivet hole containing a separately cast cylindrical copper-alloy rivet. The terminal end is incomplete due to old breaks. On the back face are the remains of solder, which suggest this may have originally been a composite strap end now missing its internal spacer or back plate due to old breaks. It measures 33.21mm in length, 17.53mm in width, 0.75mm in thickness, and 1.96g in weight. This is an incomplete strap fitting or strap end of Medieval date, c.14th century AD.
