4 scrapers
Mesolithic (probably)
Sizes range from 38mm long, 29mm wide, 10mm thick to 20mm by 19mm by 9mm.

On all of these artefacts have one edge that has been retouched, this is the longest edge. This edge has been pressure flake in such a manner as to give it a convex curved edge with a steep bevel. All have a arise running around the top of the working edge, one has the remains of the cortex on the rest of the dorsal, one has an arise running down the centre, the third has two arises running vertically across the dorsal and the last has only had a single flake removed from the top.

One has an off white/creamy patina, two have a dark grey/blue patina the with light grey mottling, one has a mid grey patina, the areas where flakes have been removed are darker. On three of the artefacts there is the remains of the creamy colour cortex on its surface.

These are part of a large assemblage of 511 flints. See GLO-BCDA95 for further information on the rest of the assemblage.

See the following records for a more detailed description of all the various tool types in this assemblage.
