Pottery. Rim sherd of oxidised fabric with lid seat and an external thumbed cordon, retaining patches of internal and external pale brown glaze. Possibly from a large jardinaire or planter of estimated diameter 550-600mm. This sherd was kindly identified by Wallace Collyer and Tina Tabrah of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1800.
