An extremely worn Roman sestertius of Elagabalus (AD 218-222), probably dating to AD 220-1 (Reece Period 10), probably INVICTVS SACERDOS AVG S C, Elagabalus standing left, sacrificing over lighted altar (will bull on ground), holding branch. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 2, p. 56, cf. no. 350. The reverse legend is illegible except for the first letter which appears to be an I (rather than a P or S for other types; see RIC 327, 334 and 369).
