Fragment of medieval silver annular brooch. Short length of curved, circular-sectioned frame with separate rectangular plate soldered to the upper face in the form of an elaborate quatrefoil consisting of four larger foils alternating with four narrow foils separated by ribs radiating from a central pellet. Not enough survives to estimate the original diameter. Plate 7 x 7mm. Weight 0.5g.
Circa 1250 - 1350.
