This is a sherd of Roman Samian Ware, dating between AD 40 - 250. It is pentagonal in shape and exhibits a slight curve. It has a dark orange fabric and a dark red lustrous slip on both sides, there are no visible inclusions. The fragment is from an uncertain vessel type and is undecorated. The length is 31mm, the width is 28mm, thickness 8mm and the weight 7.68g.
