An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy dress hook (1500-1600).

Read Class E, Type 3.

The curved part of the hook is missing. It has a sub-rectangular attachment loop and the plate has moulded decoration in the form of a heart at the front. There is also random circular openwork. The shaft of the hook is trapezoidal in cross-section. The rear face is flat.

This dress hook is similar to a Class E, Type 3 (Read 2008: 104, refs: 402, 403, 404).

It has a green patina.
