An incomplete post-Medieval asymmetrical double looped buckle frame (c. 1575-c. 1700).
The pin is missing.
This frame is sub-rectangular in plan and cross-section. It is convex at the front and flat at the rear. One loop is rectangular and the other loop is roughly 'D'-shaped. The outer edge of the rectangular loop has a central pin rest formed by two parallel transverse ridges. The narrowed bar is triangular in cross-section. This frame has a green patina.

Similar buckles have been published and dated c. 1575-1700 AD (Whitehead 2003: 91).
