A copper alloy strap loop or slide dating to the Post Medieval period. The slide is rectangular in plan and section. At either end of the object are rectangular protrusions that appear to have snapped, probably from a second cross piece. The rectangular section of the mount is slightly bowed and is decorated with four flowers, looped together by their stems. Each flower has 3 petals with a central dot in each petal. It has a brown patina. This kind of strap slide was used to hold down the edges of the strap. See also DUR-96B165
