An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1620-c. 1680).
The majority of one loop is missing and only stubs survive.
The surviving loop is roughly trapezoidal in plan. It is flat at the front and rear, slightly bevelled externally at the front. There is some shrinkage at the rear. There is a fleur-de-lis knop at the centre of the outer edge, at each corner and at the ends of the narrowed bar. The bar is rectangular in cross-section. The tapering pin is flat at the front and rear.
This buckle is generally matt green with traces of tinning at the front. The breaks are old.
