Copper alloy mount. Sheet metal spangle shaped mount cut from sheet of thickness 0.4mm, with a rivet of shank diameter 1.7mm, length 3mm with a burred end which passes through a round rove of diameter 3mm behind, and with a separate horizontal bar of thickness 1.3mm running across the flared upper part of the object with a similar rivet and rove attached. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1350.
