A complete Post-Medieval copper alloy spherical (crotal) bell. There is a raised ridge around the centre and each hemisphere is decorated with moulded petals radiating outwards from the apex. There are two circular sound holes on the upper hemisphere and two joined by a rectangular hole on the lower hemisphere. A rectangular attachment loop extends from the top. The metal has a silvery sheen to it, suggesting a high lead content. Such bells would have been attached to the collars of livestock and were used for a long period.
