A fragment of flint debitage of probable Neolithic to Bronze Age date (c. 4000 - 1601 BC). The fragment has been struck off a tertiary flake and exhibits c. 25% cortex on the dorsal surface and one negative flake scar which appears to have been strick at a different angle to the bulb of percussion on the ventral surface. The ventral surface exhibits a large lenticular striking platform and a high bulb of percussion, indicative of hard hammer working. The flake terminates in a series of jagged breaks along the mesal edges and distal end. No retouch is visible. The flint exhibits a mottled blue-grey patina with darker grey patches indicating more recent damage.
The flake measures 30.89mm in length, 26.30mm in width, is 7.73mm thick and weighs 6.34g.
