Object type certainty: Certain

Neolithic to early Bronze Age (c. 4000 to 1000BC) scraper: The scraper appears to be knapped from a secondary or tertiary flake. It is a sub-oval with a truncated, but complete, proximal end. The dorsal surface has multiple negative scars, which occasionally truncate each other. The distal end, on the dorsal surface has very short sub-parallel semi-abrupt re-touch. The re-touch may continue in a more haphazard fashion on the lateral edges, but this may be due to abrasion. The ventral surface has a prominent bulb of percussion, and conchoidal ripples. The scraper is knapped from flint which has a mottled and spotted mid and light grey patination. The scraper, measures 38.47mm long, 36.29mm wide and 9.65mm thick. It weighs 11.33g.

The scraper is probably an end scraper and dates to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age periods, c. 4000 to 1000BC.
