A base sherd from a Roman (AD c.150-250) Black Burnished ware vessel. The fabric is hard, coarse and brown in colour, with a burnished black surface. There are frequent quartz and stone inclusions of various sizes and colours. The sherd measures 61.55mm long, 48.95mm wide and 12.6mm thick. It weighs 41.05 grams.
