Post-medieval copper alloy thimble. Composite, formed from a rectangular sheet rolled to form sides with a soldered vertical seam and separate domed top (partly broken). Top with oblique cross-hatching. Sides covered in cross-hatching with two large conjoined horizontal voided pointed ovals, a three lines form a border around the base. Sides squashed. Height 26mm. Probably 17th century.
