Incomplete Roman Colchester-type two-piece brooch (i.e. with Harlow-type double-pierced lug), with fragment of chord retained in the upper perforation. Damaged wings with twin vertical engraved lines at both ends. D-sectioned backed bow, twin transverse notches at foot, stumps of openwork triangular catch-plate on reverse. Wingspan 22mm. Length 40mm. c.43-80 AD.
