4 notched backed artefacts
Late Mesolithic-Neolithic
The sizes are 34mm long, 28mm wide, 11mm thick, to 26mm by 11mm by 9mm.

All of the artefacts have multiple flaking scars over the dorsal side. On three of the artefacts there are remains of the cortex converting a third to a half of the surface area of the dorsal. All of the objects have notched blades 13mm long to 8mm long that have been napped into already existing blades that have been blunted though use.
Therefore, these artefacts were originally bladed cutting tools that were recycled with a notch knapped into the blade.

These are part of a large assemblage of 511 flints. See GLO-BCDA95 for further information on the rest of the assemblage.

See the following records for a more detailed description of all the various tool types in this assemblage.
