A post-medieval (probably 1600-1800) lead alloy musket ball, measuring 14.7mm in diameter and weighing 14.75g. The ball has a smooth, yellowish-white patina, the casting seam is mostly worn down and the scar of the casting sprue is apparent (it was probably removed with a knife). There is arectangular slot, presumably a cut 8.5x1.5x1.3mm in one area. The weight suggests it would have been used in a pistol (Harding (2012) Lead Shot of the English Civil War: a Radical Study).
