A clipped and worn Medieval silver halfgroat of Edward III (1327-1377), minted at London. Series E, 1354-1355. Initial marks: cross 2/cross 2 (North 1991: 51, ref: 1165).

Obverse: +EDW[ARDVS] REX ANGLI Z FRANC (annulet stops); Crowned bust facing within a tressure of nine arches

Reverse: Outer: +POS/VI DEV/ADIVT/OREM (I have made God my Helper) (annulet stops); Inner: CIVI/TAS/LON/DON; Long cross dividing the inscriptions with three pellets in each quadrant
