A complete silver sixpence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558-1603) in good condition,dated (AD) 1568. Coronet initial mark. Mint of London. The coin has been bent slightly in two directions; on the obverse, the lower right is bent forward, and the upper right bent backwards. Similar attributes are seen on 'love tokens' of this and the later post-medieval period. North N 1997.
