A Medieval gold finger ring with a purple stone fitting, dating AD 1150-1300. The ring has a rounded frame and tapers away from the conical bezel. The bezel is hollow and within it is a purple stone, possibly amethyst. The ring is identical to treasure case 2006 T341, though the fitting was not present in that example. Based on this parallel the item dates from the late 12th to 13th century AD.
