Copper alloy buckle plate fragment. Rectangular plate with a slot at one end and two pairs of dome-headed rivets with a single vacant drilled hole of diameter 2.3mm between them. The rivets are 6mm lonf with a shank diameter of 1.6mm and a head diameter of c.3mm. Gilding is retained on the display face. Suggested date: Medieval, 1230-1275.
