Incomplete Post Medieval button. The object is discoidal with a raised border and a right facing moulded bust on the front face. The hair projections on the top of the head and drapery are reminiscent of some busts on the coins of Charles II to George III. The loop on the reverse is integral. Circa 1660-1800 AD. Dimensions: diameter: 19.46mm; thickness: 3.86mm; weight: 2.6g.

The object was identified from paper rally records made on the day. The material type was not recorded on the record sheet, but using the photograph alone has been estimated as copper alloy.
