A post-medieval silver groat of Elizabeth I (1558-1603) dating to the period 1560-1561. First coinage. Initial mark: Cross crosslet. Mint of London. North (1975, 110) no. 1986.
This coin has been bent in half as a result of old damage. Some of the circumference has become ragged. It measures 22.6mm in diameter and weighs 1.12g.
