A complete Medieval Irish silver penny of John (1199-1216), minted by Robert at Dublin. Third ('Rex') Coinage, c. 1207-c. 1211. Spink 6228.

Obverse: IOhA/NNES/REX; Crowned facing bust in triangle, hand holding sceptre, rose to right of neck

Reverse: ROBE/RDON/DIVE; Sun above crescent moon, a star in each corner, all within a triangle

Diameter: 18.6mm. Weight: 1.27g. DA=12:9.
