Flint knife of broad Mesolithic/Neolithic date (9000 - 2200 BC). The flint is brown in colour and is opaque but translucent at the thinner edges. There is no patination. It is a secondary flake with some cortex remaining on the dorsal face. It is sub-rectangular in plan and trapezoid in cross-section. There is short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt, retouch to part of both sides. The flint is 48.7mm long x 19mm wide x 6.6mm thick and weighs 6.9g.
