A post-medieval lozengiform copper-alloy strap-fitting (mount) with a pair of integral spikes on the reverse. The front of the mount is flat and plain, with some slight bevelling at the edges. The reverse of the mount is flat. The spikes are set in from the long apexes and both curve round towards the centre, bending down to touch the reverse. The mount has a patchy dark-green patina.
The object measures 27.1mm by 16.7mm by 2.0mm (5.4mm maximum thickness). It weighs 3.59g. The pair of integral spikes date this approximately to the 17th century, although a later date cannot be ruled out.
