An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloybuckle, dating 16th-17th century. This is a double-looped rectangular buckle, with a flat frame and slightly rounded axial bar.The pin and one of the loops is no longer present. There is a dark brown pattina and possible traces of a white metal coating, likely to be tin.
Similar examples can be seen on the PAS database, cf. BH-F182B2 and tend to date to the 16th-17th century.
