A Post Medieval lead alloy apothecary weight, dating AD 1600-1800. The weight is square and roughy flat on both sides, with two rounded edges and two straight edges as if it has been cut from a longer strip. The numerals III are engraved onto both sides. The object has a mid grey pattina.
Similar weights can be found on the PAS database, though usually on round examples, cf.LVPL-29C770. These tend to date to the later Post Medieval period.
