A rim sherd from a cast copper-alloy cooking vessel, probably a cauldron or similar,of Medieval date. A short length of the thickened and slightly out-turned rim, along with afragment from the wall, survive, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. The exterior surface has extensive sooting indicative of exposure to high temperatures or fire. It measures 25.33mm in length, 64.90mm in width, 4.73mm in thickness, and 23.19g in weight. This sherdis of Medieval date, c.13th-15th centuries AD.
