Copper alloy harness pendant hanger. Rectangular strip with a U-shaped and slotted end folded over and with two domed rivets passing through its ends. The rivets are of head diameter 4.3mm, shank diameter 2.5mm and length7.4mm. Both rivets are now angled, and burred at their inner ends, presumably from their hammered attachment to a strap. The folded end retains one end of a copper alloy axis bar. The display face bears traces of gilding overall. This would be suitable to retain a harness pendant such as NLM-B8664E found nearby, and a similar date may be apt. Suggested date: Medieval, 1300-1500.
