Neolithic flint axe. Miniature polished flint axe. It is almost completely ground. A few flaking scars remain on one side. There are striations visible. It is a tapering shape with a broad cutting edge and narrow butt end. The butt end is rounded. In section it is gently convex in both planes but not very thick. The cutting edge is more polished than other areas and is convex. One face is completely polished, the other face retains traces of flaking scars along it's edges and at the butt, however there is polish in the flaking scars. It has a cream coloured patination with some greyer areas and whitish mottles. There is some edge damage. Dimensions: 90.34mm x 42.12mm x 10.24mm.
