Object type certainty: Certain

A body fragment from a colourless glass vessel, which dates from the modern period after 1800. It is not possible to identify the form of the vessel.

Sally Worrell adds: the thickness of the walls (4mm) and the absence of weathering and iridescence on the surface of the glass suggest that this fragment does not date from the Roman period when blown colourless glass vessels generally were thin-walled drinking vessels.
