A polished stone axehead, dating to the Neolithic period and likely to originate from Langdale in Cumbria. The axehead is wedge shaped with a curved cutting edge. The cutting edge is damaged, although it is not clear whether this happened in antiquity. The axehead measures 125mm in length, a maximum of 58mm in width and 30mm in thickness.
