Typical post-mediaeval triangular type sword-belt fitting (hook) with two iron rivets. The copper alloy mount is 28mm long to the broken arm of the point. It is 13.5mm wide at the broader end which is indented in a V shape. The sides taper in to 8.5mm before narrowing abruptly to 4mm breadth for the pin or hook shank, which is broken off after 5mm of its length. The mount is filed to a domed profile and slightly hollowed on the reverse.
