A cast copper alloy one-piece brooch of continental origin, dating to cAD40-60. The pin is missing. The brooch is similar to Bayley & Butcher Nos. 35 etc., in fig. 41. The upper bow is arched and has a double central rib. The spring has six turns and is incomplete. the lower part of the brooch has an expanding spatulate form. See LIN-9BDEB3 for a similar brooch.
