A copper alloy shield-shaped stud with heraldic decoration. The shield is pointed. At the back is a central circular-sectioned stud with a flared head. Around the stud is a circular copper alloy rove. The front is decorated with an enamelled coat of arms comprising a red field with a horizontal band across the middle, three small birds above it and another three below. This is likely to be "Gules, a fess Or between six martlets Or", in which case they are the arms of the de Beauchamp family of Holt and Powick, Worcestershire.
