A Medieval copper alloy single looped D-shaped buckle frame dating from c. AD 1250 - 1400. There are no traces of decoration on the frame and the pin is missing. The curved part of the frame is notched to receive the pin and there is a notch on the reverse of the strap-bar where the pin would have been attached. The buckle is 35.28mm high, 24.59mm wide and is bevelled, with measurement of 3.54mm by 4.84mm (although this varies a little across the whole buckle). It weighs 6.96gms. There is no decoration to be seen, though file marks (or similar wear marks) can be seen.
