An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap end of uncertain Early-Medieval to Medieval date. Only the terminal end survives, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. The surviving fragment is flat, triangular in form, and tapers to a pointed tip. The front face has incised decoration. This comprises double vertical grooves along each edge of the plate, truncated at the terminal end by at least two transverse grooves. At the centre of the plate between the double borders are the remains of double wavy or zig-zag lines with a vertial row of punched dots between them, possibly the remnants of a zoomorphic or anthropomorphic motif, but its precise form is uncertain due to the preservation of the object. It measures 24.95mm in length, 11.45mm in width, 1.04mm in thickness, and 1.08g in weight.

This is an incomplete terminal end of a probable strap end. It might plausibly date to the later Anglo-Saxon period, although given its preservation it might equally be of later, Medieval date.
