Anglo-Saxon copper alloy cruciform brooch, 84mm long and 73mm wide. The upper half is present, the head plate has trapezoidal wings and the central panel has a border of incised dots. It has fixed semi-circular top and side knobs which are decorated with incised lines. The bow is plain and beneath it are curved lappets which have a notch cut out of their upper surface. The brooch ends at the half round panel, which is decorated with several horizontal incised lines. It has an intact single pin lug and catchplate. It is similar to a Mortimer type D from Empingham.
