A complete cast lead alloy toy axehead of Post-Medieval date. The axehead is trapezoidal in plan flaring out from a rectangular butt end to a wide splayed blade. Mid-way along the shaft is a tubular moulding by which the axe (if functional) would have been hafted. The surface of the axehead bears traces of decoration though the advance wear makes its exact nature difficult to determine.
The metal is a mid greyish-white colour and is worn. The axehead is 23.9mm long, 20.4mm wide, 8mm thick and weighs 3.5g.
