Roman penannular silver finger ring of Johns' (1996, 45) Type Bii. Rectangular-sectioned at the rear of the hoop, becoming D-sectioned as it expands to form highly stylised oval snake head terminals with a slight flange around the edge. There are no other details on the heads. Now squashed with one terminal under the other. Width of bezel 6mm. Width at least 17mm. Weight 2.2g.. Mid 1st - 4th century.
