Flint blade fragment, of probable Mesolithic date (9000 - 4000 BC). The flint is a mottled grey brown colour and is opaque. It is a tertiary flake and is sub-oval shaped in plan and sub-elliptical in section. There is short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt, soft hammer retouch to the left hand side and curved proximal end which has been carried out from the dorsal face. The flint has a snapped edge to the distal end. It is 15mm long x 12.4mm wide x 4.6mm thick. Weight 1.03g.
