A copper alloy buckle possibly dating to the late medieval/post medieval period (AD c1350-1720). The buckle appears to be incomplete as the loop or plate to attach the buckle seems to be missing. The buckle frame comprises a quatrefoil shape. At the top of the frame there is a knop in the shape of the acorn with a raised rim around the bottom. The pin is present and comprises a single piece of copper alloy which is looped around the attachment bar and narrows towards the tip. The bottom loop of the quatrefoil shape has a gap and the pin attachment bar extends across just below this space. The sections which comprise the sides of the attachment bar may have continued to form a loop or plate.
