Sherd; base sherd of probable Roman date. Corner sherd from the base of a jar. Fabric is reduced grey-ware, dark grey at the core and paler at the surfaces. Temper includes abundant opaque rounded quarts and translucent, sub-angular quartz, rare black iron grits and rare mica. Hackly fracture, pimply surface.

The vessel fragment is 36.5mm long, 19.3mm wide, 8.5mm thick and weighs 5.9g.
