Sherd; ceramic body sherd of Roman date. Fabric is a hard, very dark grey to black at the core, burnished to black at the surfaces. Temper includes abundant white and translucent rounded and sub-rounded quartz grains and sparse black iron grits. Probable jar fragment. Edges heavily abraded. Black Burnished-Ware 1.
