Sherd; ceramic body sherd of Medieval date. Fabric is a reduced, dark-grey at the core, pale white at the surfaces. Tempered with moderate, sub-rounded quartz grains (c.1mm). Quite hackly fracture. Exterior is glazed with a thick, dark-green glaze. A small incised depression is evident at the narrow tip of the sherd - this is hand-incised decoration running diagonally along the exterior face of the vessel.
