A complete lead pencil of Medieval to Post-medieval date 1100 to 1600AD. Cast rod of oval section with a moulded pointed end which is facetted at its extreme tip.. The stylus is circular in section tapering to a blunted point at one end and is flat (cut straight across) at the other. It is undecorated.

The metal is a mid grey colour and is worn. The length is 56mm, the width is 10mm thickness and the weight 25.10g.
