A fragment of medieval (1250-1450) copper alloy oval buckle frame, probably of Meols Type 8, consisting of the ornate outside edge and small projection of frame-arm only. The ornate outside edge has a knop at either end flanked by a narrow transverse rib and a triangular area between with a central transverse groove for the pin.
Measures 13.94mm in length, 21.40mm in width and weighs 2.06g.
